EmploymentConcert House ManagerSalaryHourly, negotiable. Position is for six weeks, late June – early August. Job SummaryResponsible person to oversee concert halls during busy concert season. Applicant must be trustworthy, punctual, flexible, personable, and available to work evenings and weekends, including most of the festival’s scheduled concert dates. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a 10-passenger van. Prior experience in a concert setting a plus. Education/SkillsSome college education, preferable. Must have strong people, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Previous supervisory experience helpful. Must be proficient in English. Must be able to handle multiple competing tasks simultaneously. ExperienceExperience working in a concert hall, music festival, or in a related setting. ContactsReports to the Executive Director. Extensive contact with the general public, staff, instructors, and participants (ages 12 to 40) from many different cultures. Physical RequirementsPosition requires sitting or standing. Must be able to walk up stairs, be able to move about campus quickly and easily, and carry boxes weighing up to 30 ponds. Must have a valid US driver's license and be able to drive a 10-passenger van. Working ConditionsMuch of the work will take place in studios and concert halls between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Considerable flexibility required, including working nights, weekends, and holidays.
