PROGRAM OF STUDY : COMPOSITION
The
Bowdoin International Music Festival's composition program gives
young composers access to some of the world's most distinguished
composers while affording each participant time to compose in a
relaxed environment. Students work with the composers-in-residence
in masterclasses and private sessions throughout the summer. Students
work with each of the guest composers in a group setting, with private
sessions available at the discretion of the guest composers. The
program will culminate in a performance of each student's work in
the student concert series or in the professional Gamper Festival
concert along with works of the resident and guest composers and
20th century masters.
