Participant Sponsors
Many donors choose to provide financial assistance in the form of fellowships to one or more participants in our summer study program. Sponsors are invited to special events to meet their sponsored participant(s), and often go on to forge strong bonds as they progress through the summer and beyond.
In 2009, 50 Participant Sponsors provided 66 fellowships. Levels of sponsorship for 2010 are:
$5,000: tuition plus room, board and fees for one six-week participant
$2,900: tuition for one six-week participant
$1,650: tuition for one three-week participant
See our Fall 2009 newsletter article Beautiful Harmony: Student and Sponsors to read about Festival Trustee Pat Brown’s experience with sponsoring participants.
Bowdoin Virtuosi Sponsors
New for 2010, the Bowdoin Virtuosi program invites a select number of the most accomplished young artists worldwide – winners of major competitions and performers having important concert appearances – to perform with Bowdoin faculty and to participate as will benefit their artistic growth and careers in individually designed programs. All fees are paid for selected applicants.
$5,500: all fees for one six-week Virtuoso participant
$3,000: all fees for one 3-week Virtuoso participant
