Negotiable, late June to early August. Room provided if necessary.

Job Summary

Manage stage for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night faculty concerts and Gamper Festival of Contemporary Music; arrange for all equipment, sound, and electronics needs; oversee assistants and management of student concerts; concert recording; moving of instruments, baffles, chairs, and equipment; and setting up the Festival's summer office prior to the start of the festival. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills

Previous stage experience, including lighting, recording, and moving musical instruments. Must have strong people and problem solving skills. Must be proficient in English. Must be able to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of classical music a must.

Contacts

Reports to the Executive Director. Contact with staff, faculty, and students (ages 12 to 40) from many different cultures. Limited contact with the public.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and move heavy objects. Must be able to traverse stairs and move about campus easily. Must have a valid US driver's license and be able to drive a 10-passenger van.

Working Conditions

Much of the work will take place in studios and concert halls between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Considerable flexibility required, including working nights, weekends, and holidays.
