Your Support"From its humble beginnings as a brief summer concert series in 1964, the Bowdoin International Music Festival has become an important training ground for the next generation of classical musicians. The Festival is now “one of the great festivals of the world,” in the words of Joseph Polisi, President of The Juilliard School. “Your contributions make it possible for us to provide gifted young musicians from around the world with an opportunity to study with internationally renowned artists, and to provide Maine audiences with classical music performed to the highest artistic standards. “This mission is more vital than ever. In 2010, 275 students benefited from our world-class summer study progam, and more than 13,000 people attended concerts and events during our 6-week season. We provided valuable service to Midcoast Maine with outstanding educational programs and performances and an estimated $3.5 million impact on the local economy. “I deeply appreciate the support of the Bowdoin International Music Festival’s patrons and volunteers. Thank you for your great generosity.” Sincerely,
