Jenna Montes, originally from Mason, Ohio, is an arts administrator and performer who is passionate about connecting communities with music. Jenna is currently pursuing a Master’s in Arts Administration at Florida State University where she is a marketing associate in the College of Music Office of Community Engagement. She received her B.M. in Horn performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and developed a love for music at a young age through both concert and marching band.

An advocate for underrepresented voices, Jenna co-founded the Jacobs School of Music DEI Student Task Force to enact changes within the music curriculum, culture, and representation. As an arts administrator and Latina, she hopes to bridge the gaps between communities and uplift diverse voices in the classical music industry. She is eager to expand her knowledge of community engagement at Bowdoin during her experience in Maine this summer.

In her free time, Jenna enjoys photography, spending time with her cat Watson, traveling, painting, and listening to reggaetón and bachata.
