Encore Society

The Encore Society is an opportunity to create your own artistic legacy and preserve the future of chamber music for generations to come.

The Encore Society recognizes benefactors who have included the Festival in their estate planning. Membership in the Encore Society is open to all who have informed the Festival about their estate gift plan.

Estate gifts given as bequests can take various forms including cash, stock, IRA distribution, or approved property and works of art. Bequests do not reduce current assets and can provide you with a way to ensure a long-lasting legacy. Estate gifts can also establish a Named Endowment Fund.

The Festival would be pleased to discuss individualized options for your legacy planning.

One sentence in your will can provide a lasting legacy:

“I give to the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the charitable, tax exempt organization located in Brunswick, Maine, the sum of $________ (or) (name of specific asset) (or) percent of my residuary estate (or) all of the residue of my estate, to be use for its general purposes (or) for (a specific purpose, such as a student scholarship).”
