Born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts, Oved is currently pursuing a M.A. at the Yale School of Music studying under William Purvis. He has performed with multiple ensembles including the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony and Chelsea Symphony Orchestra and has performed as a soloist with the Farmington Valley Symphony Orchestra and New Haven Chamber Orchestra. He was also the hornist on the 2nd National Tour of Anastasia the Musical performing in major cities including Austin, Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, and Santa Barbara. Oved was also named a finalist in the Sphinx Orchestral Partners Association Excerpt Competition in 2023 receiving the Most Outstanding Instrumentalist award in the Horn Category. 

Oved is also a founding member of the award winning wind quintet ZaRiah. ZaRiah won the Frances Walton Competition in Seattle, WA, were named finalists at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition, and were also named semi-finalists at the prestigious Young Concert Artist competition in New York City. 

Along with performing, Oved enjoys teaching and has participated as the brass coach at the Worcester Youth Orchestra since 2021 and joined them on their international tour of Prague and Bratislava in the summer of 2025. He was also the winds sectional coach at the Campamento Musical Juvenil in Panama City, Panama in 2018 and 2019. He also participated in the Yale School of Music’s Music in Schools Initiative, assisting public school music teachers and their students throughout New Haven, CT. 

Along with pursuing his career in performance, Oved also hopes to give back and bring awareness to the joys and benefits of studying and performing music of all genres. 

Outside of music, Oved enjoys discovering and cooking new recipes, playing Xbox with his friends and binge watching new TV shows. Recommendations welcome!

Oved received a B.M. from Oberlin Conservatory studying under Jeff Scott and Roland Pandolfi and a M.M. from the Yale School of Music.
