Single & Monthly Gifts by Credit Card
Gifts by Cash, Check, IRA, & Donor Advised Funds
Address your gift to the Bowdoin International Music Festival to the attention of our Development Office (address below) or email to receive direct deposit information.
IRA Charitable Contributions
If you have reached age 70 ½, you can transfer up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to a charity. You will not receive an income tax deduction for the gift, but the amount given to charity counts towards your annual RMD and is not included in your taxable income. This strategy is available even if you do not itemize deductions on your tax return. The funds must be transferred directly to the charity from the IRA account and not via the IRA owner. Please consult your tax advisors about your specific situation.
Gifts of Stock
Making a gift of stock or appreciated securities may offer you an income tax charitable deduction as well as an opportunity to avoid capital gains liability. Please contact us for transfer information.
Many employers will match employee charitable contributions. Check with your employer today!
Gifts of Goods & Services
We accept gifts of goods and services, including accommodation for faculty housing. Please contact our Development Office to confirm that we are in a position to accept your donation.
