South Korean pianist Nahyoung Kim is an active soloist, chamber musician, music director, and teacher in New York.

She received her Bachelor of Music from Seoul National University, where she studied with Aviram Reichert on a full scholarship. She graduated cum laude in 2021 as a recipient of the Oh Jung-Joo Scholarship. She continued her studies at the Peabody Conservatory with Benjamin Pasternack, where she was awarded a full scholarship, served as a graduate assistant, and was a two-time recipient of the Clara Asherfeld Award.

Kim has performed at prestigious venues across Asia and North America, including Tel-Hai Evens Hall, Gimpo Art Hall, Goyang Aram Nuri Concert Hall, Horowitz Arts Center, Seoul Arts Center, Leith Symington Griswold Hall, Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall, and the Staller Center for the Arts.

As an active chamber musician, she is the recent winner of the Ackerman Chamber Music Competition and she has performed with renowned violinist Midori Goto at Leith Symington Griswold Hall. She has also appeared in concerts presented by the Candlelight Music Society, the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C., and the Starry Nights Concert series, sharing the stage with artists such as Colin Carr, Jennifer Frautschi, and Nina Bernat. She has participated in masterclasses with distinguished artists including Richard Goode, Marc-André Hamelin, Pascal Rogé, Françoise Thinat, Victor Derevianko, and Asaf Zohar.

Kim is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Stony Brook University on full scholarship with a Teaching Assistantship. She studies under the tutelage of the renowned pianist Gilbert Kalish and receives chamber music coaching from members of the Emerson String Quartet, as well as Colin Carr, Jennifer Frautschi, Alan Kay, Matthew Lipman, Arnaud Sussmann, Hagai Shaham, and Christina Dahl. In addition, she serves as an undergraduate chamber music coach at the university.
