Amalia Rinehart

2016 & 2017 Fellow

A native of Brooklyn, NY, Amalia Rinehart earned her Bachelor’s degree in music from Columbia University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She is currently a scholarship student of Gilbert Kalish in the graduate music program of Stony Brook University.

Amalia loves ensemble playing and has won recognition for her work as a chamber and orchestral musician. In past summers she has participated in Yellow Barn’s Young Artists Program (VT), the Mannes Beethoven Institute (NY), Icicle Creek Chamber Music Institute (WA), Colorado College Summer Music Festival, and Bowdoin’s Fellowship Program. She is also an organist, having studied the instrument in high school and college. This summer she’ll be coming to the Festival from the Sarasota Music Festival in Florida.
