Bennet Huang is currently a Masters of Music student studying cello performance with Paul Katz at the New England Conservatory. He received a Bachelor of Music Performance in 2021 from the University of Iowa studying under Anthony Arnone. Prior to college, Bennet studied with Dr. Vicky Wang for ten years. Bennet has participated in masterclasses with many notable musicians such as Emanuel Ax, Steven Doane, Blaise Dejardin, Ben Hong, and Jennifer Culp.

Huang has been a prize winner of numerous competitions, including the United States International Music Competition, United States Open Music Competition, and California State Voce Competition. He is also a three time winner of the El Camino Youth Symphony Solo Competition. As a winner of the American Fine Arts Festival, Huang performed at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall in 2015.

In 2019, Bennet was invited to participate in the University of Iowa Summer Chamber Music Tour where he performed in a series of concerts across the state of Iowa. As an orchestral musician, he has performed as the principal cellist of the El Camino Youth Symphony, University of Iowa Chamber Orchestra, University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra, New England Conservatory Philharmonia, and New England Conservatory Chamber Orchestra.
