Korean pianist Eunseon Ahn is active as a soloist and collaborative pianist. She has won prizes in piano competitions including the Chicago International Competition (USA), VMU Magnus Piano Competition (Lithuania), and LISMA International competition (USA). She has performed at the Young Musicians Festival Concert and appeared as a soloist with Seoul Orchestra in Korea.
She holds her Bachelor’s Degree from Seoul National University (SNU) where she studied with Minjung Lee. She received an Eminence full scholarship and a merit-based scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude from SNU. At university, she participated and performed at contemporary music workshops such as New Music Project (2019) and Gyorgy Ligeti Workshop (2020). She also joined SNU Artspace chamber music concert.
Ahn moved to the United States in 2021 to continue her music studies at the Eastman School of Music, where she worked with Alan Chow for her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. During her Master’s years, she worked as a studio accompanying Graduate Assistant and was appointed a piano accompanist at the Eastman Community Music School. Ahn was selected to perform in the Eastman School of Music’s Honors and Intensive Chamber music program.
Currently, Ahn is pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Piano Literature and Performance with Spencer Myer at Indiana University. She is also furthering her collaborative piano studies by minoring in Chamber and Collaborative Music under the guidance of Anne Epperson. Ahn is passionate about teaching, and is also pursuing a minor in Music Education and working as an Assistant Instructor at IU Jacobs School of Music.
