Itamar Esformes is a classical pianist currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Colburn Conservatory in Los Angeles, studying with Prof. Fabio Bidini. He previously completed his Master of Music and Bachelor of Music (summa cum laude) at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University, where he studied with Professor Emanuel Krasovsky.
An active performer, Itamar has appeared at venues and festivals including the Aspen Music Festival and School, the “Art of Song” Festival at Colburn, and broadcasts on the Israeli National Radio. His recent performances include solo recitals, chamber collaborations, and concerto appearances with the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra and the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.
Deeply committed to chamber music and collaborative performance, Itamar regards this work as central to his artistic identity. Engaging closely with fellow musicians and singers has profoundly shaped his musical perspective, refining his sensitivity to color, phrasing, and musical dialogue. This collaborative approach continues to inform his solo playing, fostering a heightened sense of listening, flexibility, and expressive nuance on stage.
Itamar is a prizewinner of several competitions, including First Prize at the Buchmann-Mehta Piano Concerto Competition and top prizes at the Pnina Zaltzman National Piano Competition. He is a recipient of multiple prestigious scholarships, including support from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Colburn Conservatory.
Alongside his performing career, Itamar is an experienced teacher, working with students of all ages and levels, and has participated in piano pedagogy training programs. His repertoire spans major works of the classical canon, with a strong focus on both solo and collaborative performance.
