Korean-American pianist Margaret Kim has performed extensively throughout Europe and the United States both as a soloist and chamber musician, in venues such as the Chicago Cultural Center, Chateau de Fontainebleau, and the Bösendorfer Salon of the Wiener Musikverein. A recipient of many prizes and scholarships, Margaret won the Jack Kent Cooke Talent Development Award, the Jerome and Elaine Nerenberg Foundation scholarship, and the Ravel Prix from Écoles d’Art Americaines de Fontainebleau.

Margaret earned her Bachelors of Music from Mannes College and her Masters of Music at Northwestern University, and also participated in masterclasses with musicians such as Emanuel Ax, Robert Levin, Boris Berman, and Malcom Bilson.

Currently her mentors are Jura Margulis and Angela Hewitt and this fall she will begin her Masters in chamber music with Avedis Kouyoumdjian at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.
