New Zealand pianist Sylvia Jiang currently studies with Robert McDonald at The Juilliard School. She has won top prizes at numerous national and international competitions and has performed as a soloist with the Royal Philharmonic, Queensland Symphony, and Aotea Youth Symphony orchestras. In 2019, Sylvia will give performances in Europe, Australasia, and the United States. Sylvia has recently been named as a prize winner at the prestigious Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition.
Sylvia is a 2017 Festival alumna.
