Chinese pianist Tong Tong has won the First Prize of 2019 Artur Balsam Duo Competition (USA), Third Prize of 2018 Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber MusicCompetition (Italy), Gold prize winner of the 2016 VIVO International Music Competition (USA), First prize of the 2015 Plovdiv International Chamber Music Competition (Bulgaria), First prize & Best Interpretation of American Composition Award & Liszt Award of the 2015 Collaborative Artist Liszt-Garrison International Piano Competition (USA).

Ms. Tong has been invited to many events as the assistant faculty and staff pianist, such as Bowdoin International Music Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, New York International Music Festival, Shanghai International Piano Festival, as well as the New York Concert Artists Guild Competition, Young Concert Artists Competition and The Naumburg International Cello Competition etc.

As a collaborative pianist, Ms. Tong has been working in many distinguished musicians’ studios including violinist Pinchas Zukerman, Sylvia Rosenberg, violist Samuel Rhodes, cellist Philippe Muller, Colin Carr, clarinetist Mark Nuccio, bass-baritone James Morris, and conductor Jeffrey Milarsky etc. Her performance has taken her to major cities and concert venues across Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and the United States. Her recent appearances included a series of duo recitals in the USA and China, collaborating with the French renowned cellist Philippe Muller. Ms.Tong is a long-time partner with cellist Christine J. Lee, who is the most recent winner of Isang Yun International Competition in Korea as well as a laureate of the first Queen Elisabeth International Cello Competition. They formed Lee-Tong Duo in 2014 in New York City, and made their Carnegie debut in 2016.

Ms. Tong is currently the staff pianist at Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University-Barnard College, and the chamber music instructor at University of Connecticut. She was an assistant professor at Tianjin Conservatory of Music in China for two years. Ms. Tong holds the Bachelor and Master Degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and a doctoral candidate at Manhattan School of Music studying with Dr. Heasook Rhee.
