Flutist Youngha Kim, born in South Korea, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music where she studies under Linda Chesis. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Yonsei University in South Korea under the tutelage of Myung Joo Ahn and Yumi Jung. As an undergraduate, she won her university’s concerto competition performing the Reinecke Concerto as well as winning top prizes in numerous competitions in South Korea. Ms. Kim has also performed in masterclasses of notable flutists such as Sandrine Tilly, Maxence Larrieu, Adorjan Andras, Walter Auer, and others. She is thrilled to attend the Bowdoin International Music Festival this summer.
