Fellowship Program: Apply by January 20

The Festival’s Fellowship Program application deadline is approaching on January 20, 2026 at 11:59 PST.

Our Fellowship Program offers a unique, intensive, and customizable six-week experience for advanced musicians (age 21+) at the beginning stages of their professional careers. Fellows grow through outstanding solo and chamber instruction, collaboration with exceptional peers, and mentorship from Artistic Directors David Ying and Phillip Ying.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTs

100% Funding
The Fellowship covers full tuition, room, and board.

25 Fellows
Violin, viola, cello, piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, and composition.

Chamber Music Focus
Fellows are immersed in a high-level collaborative environment with coaching from faculty and opportunities to explore and perform repertoire from past to present.

Solo Study
Fellows engage in individual lessons with artist faculty to further their technique and artistic voice.

Orchestral Leadership
Fellows are the section leaders of two orchestra concerts featuring world-renowned artists. Recent soloists include Richard Goode, Simone Porter, Sergei Babayan, and Zlatomir Fung.

Community & Mentorship
The combination of living, studying, and performing with peers and faculty in a close and collegial setting supports artistic and professional growth.

Fellowship String Quartet
Specially designed program and opportunities for a pre-formed string quartet.
