India Hooi

India Hooi is a sound engineer and musician specializing in classical and acoustic music production. Her musical and audio pursuits have taken her from her homeland of Australia, to Denmark, Spain, and now the United States where she recently completed an Audio/Video Fellowship at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach. India has a degree in classical piano from the University of Adelaide and a Master in Tonmeister (sound recording) from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. She is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, has written articles for SoundGirls, and was a Presenter on orchestral recording for AirCon and SoundGirls audio conferences. India is an avid choral singer, most recently singing with the Master Chorale of South Florida, dabbles in composing, and is a keen learner of music, instruments, and dances from around the world. Passionate about bringing excellent audiovisual experiences to audiences beyond the concert hall, India is thrilled to spend her first summer in Maine capturing the Festival’s wonderful performances.
