Ava Janes

Ava Janes, from St. Louis, MO, and Appleton, WI, is a double major in Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Violin Performance and Film and Digital Media within the Honors Program at Baylor University. Ava has experience as an Artistic Administration Intern at the Lake George Music Festival, a Marketing Coordinator Intern at the National Repertory Orchestra, and she participated in the Eastman Leadership Academy, where she was selected as one of only twenty-five students nationally. In addition to these experiences, Ava has composed for Hunter Wilson’s film “Hunch,” which was recognized as a NexGen winner out of 85 submissions at the Berkshire International Film Festival.

While Ava hopes to pursue a career in artistic leadership and non-profit management, she also enjoys performing, educating, and audio design. She studies violin under Dr. Eka Gogichashvili. In her free time, Ava enjoys watching and making films with her friends, weightlifting, and teaching.
