Dr. Emily Blandon Kovar is a pianist and educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Georgia (2024). She currently serves as a Lecturer in Piano at Clemson University, where she teaches both applied and group piano courses.
Trained in piano, bassoon, and organ, she has performed internationally and has worked with renowned artists such as Anna Polonsky and Da Sol Kim. She holds degrees from Lawrence University (B.M., 2017) and the University of Georgia (M.M., 2020).
As a Latina, she has a deep passion for Spanish music and is dedicated to sharing its rich heritage. Her teaching and performances reflect a commitment to inspiring the next generation of musicians and fostering a deeper appreciation for diverse musical traditions.
